I’ve been obsessed with creatures and bestiaries in games for years, captivated by the intricate designs and lore that bring these fantastical beings to life. This fascination sparked a deep desire within me to create my own sort of scientific journal that would showcase the unique creatures from a game that has profoundly influenced my gaming experience, leading to the inception of this personal project.

The Monster Hunter World: Field Journal project, a labor of love dedicated to exploring the rich ecosystem of Monster Hunter: World. I set out to draw every large monster in Monster Hunter: World, carefully outlining their behaviors, habitats, and intricate relationships within the environment, all presented in an informative style reminiscent of the journals someone studying them living in the environment of the game would create. The process has been both challenging and rewarding, as I meticulously research each creature, sketching them with attention to detail and incorporating elements of the gameplay that highlight their significance.

This passion project is still ongoing, as there are 68 large monsters in the game, but I aspire to complete it in a few years and ultimately printing and binding it myself to share this tribute to one of my favorite game and its remarkable inhabitants with other fans and enthusiasts.
